In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Comfort that guests rate 10/10 — Among all rated categories, comfort scores highest – a signal that beds, temperature, and quiet matter here.
  • A host who goes above and beyond — Every guest review mentions the owner’s kindness – from morning tea to sharing her own lunch. Staff rating is a solid 8.4.
  • Unbeatable location for market lovers — Right on the Walking Street and an 11-minute walk from Chedi Luang temple – the old city is effectively on your doorstep.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Reviews hint at a few comfort gaps — One guest noted that blankets weren’t changed during their stay, and the kitchen isn’t available in every building – so manage expectations if you plan to cook.
  • No pets allowed — If you’re travelling with an animal, this isn’t the place – the policy is clear.
  • Check-in ends at 23:30 — The window is broad (from 07:30) but late arrivals after 11:30 pm aren’t accommodated – plan your transport accordingly.

“We loved our time here. The location was perfect – right on the Walking Street and close to the centre. The owner was a lovely lady who made us feel at home and even made tea for us every morning. The hostel was clean and well-maintained, with tidy dorms and bathrooms. We appreciated the little touches like individual bed lights and charging points. There were a few downsides – no kitchen in every building and blankets weren’t changed – but for the price, the value was excellent. We highly recommend it for the location, cleanliness, and friendly host.”

“Clean, comfortable, great location. The owner is amazing – helpful and kind. Good value for the money, daily cleaning, hot water, and clean drinking water. Close to markets and convenience stores.”

“The location was incredible – just outside the old town and in a quiet neighbourhood. The AC was superb, and the bathrooms and showers were spotless, which matters a lot to me. The room smelled great too. The owner checked me in quickly and even shared her lunch salad with me – so sweet. I really appreciated her. Looking forward to staying again.”
